Jul 12, 2010 I downloaded a Safari plugin called XML View Plugin.webplugin and have no idea where it should be placed to work in Safari 5. It did not come with an installer and I have not found Safari Plugin folder. Extend the web-browsing experience by allowing Safari to read and modify webpage content on macOS. Safari App Extensions are built with Xcode and can communicate and share data with native apps — so you can integrate app content into Safari or send web data back to your app to create a unified experience. Safari Extensions allow Mac users to explore the web exactly the way you want. Find helpful information about a web page, display news headlines, or quickly access and share content to your favorite app and services. To get started, choose Preferences from the Safari menu, select the Extensions tab, and click the checkbox to turn on the extension.
Before you start, check the version of Safari running on your Mac. To display the version number, choose Safari > About Safari.
Safari Video Plugin Download
- If your Safari version is 11.0 or later, follow the steps in For Mac OS X 10.11, macOS 10.12, and later.
- If your Safari version is 10.0 or later, follow the steps in For Mac OS X 10.10.
Note:
Apple Safari version 14, released for macOS in September 2020, will no longer load Adobe Flash Player or play Flash content. Please visit Apple's Safari support for more information.
Click the Websites tab and scroll down to the Plug-ins section. Locate the Adobe Flash Player entry.
Select a setting to use for Flash Player when you visit other websites.
You can configure Flash for individual websites (domains). Select a website listed in this window, and choose Ask, Off, or On.
Exit Preferences after you finish configuring Flash Player.
Note:
If you are viewing Safari in full-screen mode, mouse over the top of the browser screen to see the menu.
Click the Security tab. Ensure that Enable JavaScript and Allow Plug-ins are selected. Click Plug-in Settings.
From the When visiting other websites menu, choose On, and then click Done.

When you start our application for the first time, you will be asked to install the video download extension so you can directly download video without leaving your browser.
If you didn't see the prompt message, you're able to install the download extension manually:
Start our applications and go to Product name > Preferences in the top menu bar. In the Extensions tab, you can install the download extensions for the selected browser.
